When studying his Masters degree, David Hand fell in love with screen printing, being attracted to both its physical and versatile nature. Since this fascination began, Hand has exhibited in galleries, designed for fashion, graphics and illustration as well as producing a short screen-printed film. In his work, Hand reminisces over his childhood love for seaside towns and the common dilapidation of the buildings and signs; screen printing is a fitting process to represent this as the screen print’s imperfections make it a better print and a more interesting one at that.
